Vodafone announced recently that it is going to begin offering wireless services to its multinational customers in the United States who already use its fixed, mobile and machine-to-machine products, beginning next year.

Part of its expansion includes a deal with T-Mobile under which Vodafone will operate as a mobile network virtual operator (MVNO), which means you’ll be able to buy Vodafone products and services that operate on T-Mobile’s wireless network. Vodafone currently operates its own networks in 27 countries but supports services in 75 countries “through partner market relationships,” similar to what it will have with T-Mobile in the U.S.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Vodafone has had a hold on the U.S. market. Until this year, Vodafone was a 45 percent stakeholder in Verizon Wireless, once a joint venture between Verizon Communications and Vodafone. Verizon closed its deal to purchase Vodafone’s stake for $130 billion in February.

This may be beneficial to the people who live in the UK and work in the US. Its nice to see T-Mobile offering their network to other phone services, just like they did with Ting

I don't get why this is even a thing, they should stay in Europe to be honest.

They may make a small profit, but that'll be underpinned by the fact they're piggybacking off of T-Mobile's US network.

Btw, they don't offer the services, it's a must provide wholesale thing.

Also, how would someone live in the UK and work in the US? That's some feat

Compatible with Windows 95
