Does any one recommend a keyboard similar to this. I have a rubber dome keyboard and i love the feel of the firm press then collapse.

Well, for starters you're weird. Secondly Cooler Master Nova TKL.

I saw one at best buy on display and have to agree that the keycaps felt weird.

@LinusTech I think you need to decide how you're going to pronounce Kailh, and then stick with it.

Why does "gamer" gear always have to be so ugly? All these needless gaudy additions to otherwise nice products. Like Corsair's new logo... And Logitech's G910 wrist rest.

I went to best buy to get my K70 just so it had the old logo. I think this was before they started selling stuff with the old logo again.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Becuase it sells?

Theres a reason why it's called the "gamer" look, because gamers tend to buy that shit up.

Also, the Corsair logo isn't that bad...I liked the sails better, but I didn't have any issues with the new logo, it got blown WAY out of proportion.

The logo itself isn't bad, should they be more sensical about colors....especially on a keyboard designed to be able to reproduce any color...yes, but I still would call all of the shit it got a HUGE overreaction.

Finally! I have been waiting for this review for a really long time.

I am disappointed. I really wanted this to be my first mechanical keyboard, but its just not ready yet.

I was intrigued by the Orion Spark, but my biggest concern was the key caps, and you have solidified my stance to not buy this.  I love to type, just as much as I love to game, and those key caps look godawful for typing. No other reviewer talked about the typing, so finally someone knows how to review a keyboard for more than just gaming.

I will probably wait to buy a newer version of this keyboard, because I love its strengths, and it offers a lot of unique features not seen elsewhere.  I am particularly in awe of the feature that allows you to sync up in-game spells with the lighting on the keyboard.  Say you cast a spell which has a 10 seconds recast time.  That key's LED will turn off until the spell is ready to be cast again.  That alone is so freaking cool.  Even if it isn't perfect yet, that is something I want.

The weaknesses of this keyboard are too much for me to get past though, especially for such a high price.

In new iterations I would like to see:

Be able to change the color of some of the dedicated media keys.  It is insane to have the other keys full RGB, and the media keys are stuck as light blue.

More than one "switch type" of Romers to give some diversity.

New key caps, I refuse to buy this keyboard until they get those key caps fixed because they are atrocious and have cost them a sale.

Better wrist rests, at least one that doesn't look so hideous and can be used for both typing and gaming.

USB Pass through.  Unacceptable for such an expensive keyboard to not have USB pass through.

MicroUSB charging port for the ARX Dock.

Kindle Fire compatibility with ARX

Make Best Buy to have these on display so I can try before I buy.

Logitech, if you're reading, make these changes and I will shell out $180 for a keyboard.  For now, it is not there yet.

I own a Corsair RGB keyboard. It's not about the logo being the worst thing ever. It's not. However the rest of the keyboard has a professional look which I like and is interrupted by this tramp-stamp thing with yellow lettering on a RGB keyboard.

I considered getting this instead of the K70 RGB a few months ago, but now I'm glad I'm getting the K70 instead... those keycaps look horrible, especially for anything but gaming. A huge mar on an otherwise great-looking keyboard. So glad you brought that up, Linus.

I hate when they make "RGB" products but they have a random color  on them (the blue phone holder in this case)
What the heck???? Give us something with neutral color like black without ANY stupid extra pieces with random color.

Am i the only one that thinks that? Why nobody mention this?

It costs 230 AUD. Just no.

Well the good part of it, it will scare away almost everyone that would buy this product (ignorant people and such, the 15-year old me would actually buy this if it wasn't so expensive)

Logitech is like this kid that tries to hang out with the cool kids, but just...can't.

And even though that kid is not a complete idiot, and comes up with general good ideas, he really needs to stop trying so hard and well...just...stop
