DDCFX-P2 Paddle Card info

Can anyone give me some details about a DCCFX-P2 "paddle card"? I gather that it's used for a hybrid xfire setup between cpu/onboard gfx and a dedicated card. I just found it in an older pc and I'd like to know more about it.
