~Razer Blackwidow 2014 Expert Review~

Hey guys, this is my first review ever and I will be doing it on the Razer Blackwidow 2014 Expert!

Well let's start then :D

The first thing I am going to be talking about is build Quality! After switching from the Logitech G110 over to the Blackwidow I have found that the build quality is so much better compared to most Logitech Keyboards, With the Logitech G110 I was able to bend it to the point where keys would nearly just come off. With the Razer Blackwidow I can barely even get it to bend 0.1mm! It has a heavy feel to it (1.5kg) which makes you know that you aren't going to be breaking it anytime soon.

Next I will talk about the overall looks! Looking at reviews on youtube doesn't compare to how it looks in real life. It has a Matte Black finish to it making to easy to get fingerprints on but still easy to clean and the keys are also a matte black with white writing and feel very solid when typing on. In the middle of the keyboard is a Razer Logo that lights up and looks stunningly sharp. When you plug it in it will just stay on all the time but after downloading Razer Synapse 2.0 (pre-installs) you are able to change it from Still to other stuff like when it turns on every second and then turns off. My favorite.

Next I will talk about typing, oh is it good! I got the Razer Green Switches over the Oranges, prefer the sound they make. IF you were to compare it to a Cherry MX Blue the sound the Green switches make is just a bit deeper and louder. Which I quite like. Just within the 3 days I have had the keyboard I have increased my typing speed by 39WPM taking me up to 88WPM! Typing feels so solid and responsive, the actuation point is so high double tapping and typing in general is amazing. With the solid build of the keyboard it self when typing you get no flex or bad sounds from the keyboard! Which is good compared to my previous keyboards.

Overall Experience! I think that this is a great keyboard for people who like to Game but also need to type quite often. For gamers, would recommend but for people who type more often than gaming I would recommend the Das Keyboard which is around $220AUD. You can get different kinds of switches that are made by Cherry like Blues and Browns, also with Dampers. But overall I would give this keyboard a 9/10.

Lost marks because of the matte finish on it, making it very easy to get fingerprints on. But still can be washed. Also Taking marks off because I could only get the Expert Edition which doesn't have LED backlighting. I find that spending $190AUD To get the LED's it just plain stupid, if you are going to make a LED for the logo, atleast bother with the rest of the keyboard

Thank you for reading this review, if you made it this far. Please tell me what you think of the review and of the keyboard, Thank you! :P
