Silent high performance fans?

Hi!

This is my first post, and I could think of nowhere better to ask it than here...

I recently purchased a ASUS GTX 980 Strix mainly because of the 0db cooling mode that it can operate at. I decided to upgrade from my Reference Sapphire R9 290 because of the noise and heat that it produces when in use, although it's not the only thing loud in my case. I recently added a Corsair H100i to my case, including the out-of-the-box fans, and they're extremely loud, so I'm asking for some suggestions on new fans.

I want to replace all the fans in my case, as I'd like to get the noise level as low as possible, whilst still providing a good level of performance. I currently have 4x120mm fans, 2 that came with the H100i and 2 that came with my NZXT Phantom, 1x140mm & 1x200mm that also came with the case.

Please leave any suggestions you have as a comment, and if possible please provide a link to them (UK pricing preferable but no a necessity)

thank you all in advance!

From Lewis

Nocuta, I use Phanteks and Cougar fans both are nice and quiet, but Noctua is the best.

Why the hell does everyone say Noctua, they arent the best and theyre over priced. Even Corsair SP120s (QEs) are quieter than Noctuas

Noctua is the top of the line fan maker. You can't go wrong there. But I've found some good luck with the Corsair fans. I have their Quiet Edition static pressure fans on my radiator and their Quiet Edition airflow fans as my case fans. Great airflow so far as well as ultra quiet. Cheaper than Noctua and I've been very pleased.

Why so many people say the stock 100i fans are loud? Yeah, they are loud at full speed, of course. But Corsair has software to reduce and control fan speed. At 1000rpm, it is no louder than a SP120 quiet edition or Noctua NF-F12 at the same speed.

Noctua NF-F12 produces a slightly lower pitch than Corsair SP120 at 800-1200rpm range. The sound is less noticeable but not quieter.
