Alienware Alpha

I need a portable machine that I can take to my friends house, play games like BF4, Skyrim, and others on medium to high setting with 40+ FPS, and just browse the web. I was thinking about the Alpha with the i5 or the one with the i7. What do you think about both of them? Thanks.

they look really nice but havent been out long enough for anyone to experience any issues with them i would say hold off for 2-3 months to make sure they dont because thats a lot of money for something and knowing dell/alienwares customer support they suck and will give you the run around rather than fixing your product if it does have issues.

IMO the only one worth getting is the lowest end one, since the higher end ones don't provide as much value. The upgrade from an i3 to an i5/i7 isn't going to be a huge deal since you still only have an 860M. You're paying, what, $200 extra for 8GB of ram over 4GB and i5 over an i3? You can get a locked i5 for $70 more than an i3 and four more gigs of ram for $30.

RIP in pepperonis m8s
