Almost buying my first computer! Can you check it?

GuiLobo

Hey guys! So, I got some ideas from other people, the price was barely changing and I could upgrade it a little bit! I got it around my 900dl budget and here it is! I even got it with those websites, which I benefit from amazon prime and rebates from newegg... With this I hope to be able to play my MMO games (SC2, LoL, etc) at highest settings possible in 1080p while multitasking on the background (skype/internet), as well as play newer games, not necessarily in the best settings possible because that would be a huge upgrade on GPU, and this R9 280 deal is awesome (i suppose...)

Thank you!

For gaming looks sufficient of course you might have Intel - Nvidia purist being like No GTX 970 but really the GTX 970 and R9 280/290(X) preform about neck to neck.

To be honest, it's ok but not very balanced.

You're going for a K (unlocked processor), it's almost a waste if you dont buy a decent all-in-one watercooler and use the overclock potential.

Try turning that 8gb's of ram into 16, you will benefit in the near future seeing as recommended specs for games these days are nearing 8gb's of ram.

I feel you can cut 1/3 of that motherboard's price off and still have a good motherboard.

Convert that HAF case into a NZXT s340 and safe some money, gain some style (IMO) :)

EDIT: You may not need the K processor, another option is to stick with the hyper 212 EVO and go for a Regular i5-4690

Ummm I see... Well, I was trying to balance this computer for about a month now, and I started off at 1.300 dollars xD a little bit more than I could afford...

I had 16GB and water cooler in the beggining of this build... But I decided to go in a way that is good "for now" and still be possible to upgrade in a near future... I dropped to 8GB of RAM, I might expand to 12-16GB in 6-12 months from now (can't do it this year) and with that I can get the overclock to work at its best when the time comes as well... I had problems picking a motherboard so I just chose the one that my friend have... and I'm in love with the HAF case <3 hahaha

Thank you guys!! I really needed some positive messages in such a decisive moment!\

EDIT: Exactly that, I tried to bring down from a k processor and a lower motherboard but it would be like... 50 dollars cheaper... Not much big of a deal considering in the future I might benefit more from this... I cut most of the money I would spend coming down from GTX 970, which I don't really need in comparison to a good processor-motherboard...

hmm you have a good point there. At a point you will notice your CPU is getting older, buy a watercooling unit and start overclocking. As for the ram, you are also right if you're aiming for 'good for now' :)

Good thinking there

I'm glad you agree with me! xD A month sitting here and asking everyone for opinions helped me come up with this! Love this community <3

In response to that, I'd recommend a Seasonic 550w gold cetrified PSU :)

Replace the GPU with some sapphire one.

Get a better PSU.

What would you mean by "better"? Higher wattage or the 80+?

PSU was another MAIN issue when I was trying to set this up... I don't want to be cheap with this, so you guys say 80+ gold around 600W should be good?

i think you'll be fine with that CPU cooler.

I agree with adding a better psu. An evga g2 or seasonic gold psu would be really good.

I can't find g2... I heard a lot about superNOVA though... it says g1 is that one good too?

EDIT: So, my budget for a PSU is around 80 dollars... What is the best for me around that?
