Kindle Fire HDX 7"?

I want to know if the Kindle Fire HDX 7" is worth the nearly $200 of my birthday money. I do a fair amount of reading and movie watching and I actually like the OS (I owned the first kindle fire, so i know roughly what it feels like). I'm open to suggestions and comments. :D

Eh this is the one my son is getting.  The app store doesn't impress me a whole bunch but with my son coming from having an HP Touchpad and this being something grandma is giving him he will be happy with it.  I just hate the fact that these Kindle Fire devices don't have as many apps as other tablets have access to.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S
