but-mom-but-mom.jpg

i'm looking forwards to your angry rant on this image :P

According to the recent data from IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark our beloved Apple users outspend Android users on their online shopping. The "News" was reported by CNN.

"Apple has a strong hold on online shopping,IPhone and iPad buyers tend to be slightly more affluent and more comfortable with technology."

                                                                                                                  - Henderson , director of IBM Smarter Commerce.

Apple users are 3 times more likely to make a purchase on their mobile or tablet device, and made up 25% of total online sales on Thursday. This is despite the fact that Google's operating system is the top smartphone platform in the U.S. market.

"That's pretty dramatic, especially since in 2010 that number was just 6.5%. Of actual sales, mobile accounted for 32% of all online purchases Thursday, up from 25.4% last year.

                                                                                                                                                 - Henderson

As more retailers launched their Black Friday sales a day early, shoppers realized they didn't have to leave their house  or be in front of a computer to score a deal. Half of all online shopping on Thursday including browsing was done on a mobile device.

according to the most recent data from IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark.Apple iOS mobile users spent about 25% more than Android owners on their thanksgiving purchases, with an average of $118.57 per order compared to Androids users $95.25 per purchase

Apple iOS mobile users spent about 25% more than Android owners on their Turkey Day purchases, with an average of $118.57 per order compared to $95.25

According to initial results from Adobe, Black Thursday sales made on smartphones and tablets came in at $254 million , Sales slowed down as the day continued, as earlier reports showed the average order value of Apple iOS users came in at $122.08 and $97.25 for Android users.

pretty interesting News imo, Do leave your thoughts on this down there beloooooe...

Apple iOS users might already be used to spending more on a device and therefore are more likely to buy other stuff for it. While quite a few Android users just use it because it the cheapest smartphone out there and they are not willing to get any thing else with it.

Especially with Apple Red on the app store.

I'm not even sure if they really donate all the proceeds to charity. When companies say they will donate makes things sound fishy.

Yea.. like what the other person said above. Apple users are gulible  which may include me????????/( not breaking news )

I'd like to call super mega jumbo double triple bullshit.

I'll agree with you on the latter point, but Apple users having slightly more money (on average)? I could probably believe that.

Actually not that surprising. When my mom for example wants to buy something from Amazon she does it on our iPad and not on her phone.

Also most Android users know how to use a PC.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

Apple users are generally more invested in the ecosystem, this includes actually using and downloading apps such as shopping apps and using their device to browse the web.

How is this news? Apple products tend to cost more themselves so the fact users have money to waste is well known. I mean if apple made a butt load of budget phones and sold as well as android in lower price brackets and not just flagships I'm sure it would even out.

Most profiling and data collection puts apple users as more affluent, in fact you will find more apple products in the hands of managers and people in the higher pay brackets.  There has been much research and the reasons are fairly simple.  However the statement about them being more comfortable with technology is quite a stretch, there is nothing in any of the research I have read that indicates that at all, in fact quite the opposite, you are more likely to find android in the hands of technical workers, that is,  engineers and technicians. The only way that second half of that statement could be true was if they meant actually Apple users were more comfortable spending online with their technology as opposed just being comfortable with their technology, because unlike android users their understanding of security and value is somewhat lower.

You mean Apple product is more expensive/overpriced and therefore Apple owners spend more?

What's new?

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

Article is about apple; title is enough given how high quality apple posts are.
