Batman AO

I/O

Just got this game for free ... It's a POS. An unoptimized mess and it looks like shit. Even on all low settings and no AA it still drops below 60fps on my hardware which is quite well beyond the recommend specs. I don't recommend this game even if you get it for free. I installed it today and I will uninstall it today.

Works great for me, played it on three different systems (6950, 770 and 970) ran buttersmooth on all of them

Well as I take a second look my hardware is on par with the recommended specs of a 3.4Ghz Quad core Phenom II x4 CPU I have 3.7Ghz Phenom II x4 CPU and the recommend GPU is a Radeon HD 6950 I have Radeon HD 7850 OCed. I guess it would be nice if they told you that the recommended spec are only good for if you don't mind fps dips below 60fps on all Low settings. This is BS.

I played medium 60fps vsync, with minimal dips on a fx 6100, 6950

Weird cause it play's choppy on all Low setting and no AA on my rig. Perhaps it like the 6950 better than the 7850.

That's about right for the HD 7870 as I am on an OCed 7850 which is the same performance. Still 47avg is pretty terrible for how old the game engine is.

It's DX11, Max settings 8xMSAA....Meaning vsynced 60 should be doable on more reasonable levels of AA.

I can tell you that all the batman's i've played thusfar start to chop with those DX11 and phsyx features.

Atleast, they did on my i5-760 and SLI GTX460. Don't think they did that on my 4670K + GTX670 build...

Oh god, physx for that game. I remember walking into a rug that was a physx material, and then my frame rate just died.

Problem is that because it's an nvidiot game when the framrrate goes from 60 to 59fps it drops to 30fps cause nvidia has clearly never heard of god dam triple buffering before it seems LOL. Also with 1GB cards most games will stutter because of the Vram issue.

...... are you always this vile?

Also, I don't believe triple buffering fixing that particular aspect of vsync. Otherwise nvidia wouldn't have developed adaptive sync.

Well go figure cause it's only on nvidia "TWIMTBP" titles that drop from 59 to 30fps with Vsync on probably cause they wanted to push more useless features. Almost every game now in days supports any framerate with Vsync on up to the monitors refreshrate of course, and yes I am always this hostel towards stupid game engines that don't work or scale for shit. Looks like the solution here is to quit playing nvidia sponsored games and stick to the ones that actual work and scale properly on a wide range of hardware weather is be the color of Green or Red. It's a real shame though cause i was looking forward to TW3. Oh well GTA V is AMD all the way so I know I won't have an issue with that one ... it will just work.

The pot calling the kettle black.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

There must be a problem somewhere, because surely, my laptop can play on Medium on 30+FPS, and its an 8550M, other things would be CPU is i7 3517U 1.9GHz, 8GB of RAM at that time. And next, I was playing on Day 1, too.

Now I really, really expect most if not all normal gamer's desktops would be able to play that game if my laptop, with an AMD GPU, a 1.9GHz quad-cores mobile CPU could play this game at least on Low.
