So, you know how Windows XP isn't supposed to get any more updates?

I just got one.

I thought this was kinda unusual for Microsoft to push out an update this far past EOL, and I thought you guys might find it a little unusual as well. And I want you to speculate with me why Microsoft pushed it.

 

I think it's because of people like me who throw it on their old computers to do non-critical tasks (in my case, folding), and then bitch at Microsoft for making it harder to get things that you might need to install software (like what this update seems as through it's supposed to help do).

Windows xp is 12 years old so it is expected that they will stop supporting it.

I thought I would never get another update for the poor Dell. But apparently I was wrong.

Works nicely with the Dell background that came on my friend's computer with Windows 7.

No. I decided just to leave it the way it was. I don't like playing around in the registry.

 

Although I think I'm gonna go back to Luna. I kinda like it.
