Capstones are amazing deals even not on sale pricing. It's a decent psu overall. Somewhere around the likes of the corsair RM series which is massively more expensive. And then there is.

The evga g2 series is the best power supply you are going to find that is gold rated and in that price bracket hands down no questions asked. But this too is priced better on newegg being 70 after MIR

Hi I am upgrading my pc which is a budget build AMD A10  system.(UPDATE: NEEDS TO BE FROM AMAZON OR EBUYER AS LIVE IN UK AND PSU NEEDS TO BE NON MODULAR thanks) I need a power supply to power my new graphics card- a gtx 760 sc acx. I will buy either the msi card or evga (any suggestions just post it). I need a power supply that is efficient so I don't need a 1000w psu as it won't be efficient to the parts I have. Most likely I will need a 650w to 750w. I need a psu that has both a continuous wattage and a peak wattage certification. I don't want the psu to break after six months so I have to pay for a replacement(need it to be gold rating for reliability). It is a gaming rig it will be attached to and will be playing games roughly 2 to 3 hours (metro last light, Alien isolation,Evil Within). The titles I am playing are resource demanding like metro last light and the evil within. So I need a psu that can handle this sort of treatment. So my question is can you recommend a 650w/750w (750w ideally for future expansion) that can handle this? And can It fit in my case (this will be included in PARTS list:

My PARTS list is here:

6 sp120m corsair case fans                        1 gtx 760 sc acx (msi or evga. psu needs to be good as it will be under load playing games like evil within)

1 dvd Drive                                                   CPU cooler: Be quiet! bk010 be quiet Shadow Rock Slim CPU cooler

1tb WD BLUE                                                Case: nzxt source 210: (psu needs to fit in this case

unless you are going to sli you don't need anywhere close to 650w or 750w. You system as is won't pull more than about 325W. That is peak load. Don't worry about what the manufacturers say about how much wattage you need because they massively overshoot so they can't be blamed when their crappy 600w diablotek power supply blows up when their system tries to use more than 450w.

Thanks- I will probably go with the evga g2 series (It isn't that I don't believe you it is for future upgrading as I might put RAID 2 on my system and I might get a gtx 980 in the future). ONE MORE QUESTION: will this fit in my case? and is this a good psu to get for my system instead of the EVGA one ? link is here:http://www.ebuyer.com/632960-xfx-ts-750w-fully-wired-80-gold-power-supply-p1-750g-ts3x

I don't see why not. It would have to take an insanely long power supply to take up all the room. I have an nzxt system I built last week and it has more thane enough space. I personally use a 750w g2 in my system. The s340 is about the same size as the source 210

If pc part picker tells you your psu won't fit it's because they don't expect it to fit if you use a bottom case fan as there is a place for that. Although consider the S210 does not have feet a bottom case fan is pointless anyway.

Can you buy from other places besides Amazon and Ebuyer ? The Superflower Golden Green HX is a very good non modular psu and it is cheaper on Overclockers than it is on Amazon.

I think you would be better going with a 550W for your spec though. A 750W is overpowered for a single GTX 760.
