Low Wired Speed Help !

I just got my internet upgraded from 40-50 down to 100 down

I am getting this speed using wifi, but when i use my wired connection using a powerline adapter that can handle 500 down i get around 30 down

I have reset the adapters to try to fix this, but it didn't work

There is a piece of software for the adapters that says i get 100 down

I am not sure what to believe, speedtest or the software

Any suggestions

could be that the software has a server much closer to you then speedtest

On steam i am getting 50 mbps, still not 100

Maybe there is something up where the Powerline adapters won't reach their full potential.

Apparently it is common for powerline adapters to only reach 40-50 down :(

The speed of a powerline adapter can be affected by multiple things.

1st the age and quality of your inside wiring
2nd the length of the cable in between each adapter

3rd other device that could cause interference

Have you tried changing the channel bandwidth ?

Also, i forgot to tell but its gonna work better if connected straight into a wall outlet. no powerbar/splitter
