MSI GTX 970 Gaming fan problems - Is it relly that bad?

hknutsen

So for a long time I've wanted to buy a GTX 970 Gaming 4G by MSI, and there's a great discount on it this Friday in my local PC part store. But I've hard there are some problems with the fans on this card, and wondered if anyone could give me some more information on what this problem is, and if it's really bad. Also, does this happen to alot of their 970's? I'm afraid to pick one up.

The card is fine but some 970 cards have some coilwhine that's a high pitch sound when gaming but there's nothing you can do about it my Asus has it pretty bad but I don't care since I got it for a steal

There is nothing wrong with my MSI Gaming. It's an excellent performer and dead silent.
