VN247H-P Issue

HI there, I got an Asus VN247H-P monitor a few months ago to replace the TV I was using as a screen for my rig. All is as expected and fine except I have noticed a couple of issues that are annoying while gaming and watching movies. Firstly: When there is a dark scene in a movie or game I notice a blueish glow at the edges of the screen that impede about a centimetre onto the display, it isn't an ENORMOUS deal but it is distracting and I can't stop seeing it now I have noticed. 

Secondly: Black colours in any video or game appear really pixely and wrong with shades of grey and dark green mixed in. Still images are generally better to look at but moving ones are ugly. I do understand however that this is most likely due to the fact that the monitor uses a TN panel.

 

If anyone could shed any light on my situation it would be awesome and any advice would be great!!
