This camera is on sale for $279 right now. All the reviews I can find seem positive, does anyone here have any experience with it? I'm thinking about getting it as a Christmas present for the wife.

Have you looked at video reviews? They're usually best reviews to look at IMO.

Save a bit more and get yourself a RX100.

To be honest I don't recommend the camera since it has a low aperture and and sensor is small.
