There is actually no deal. Corsair or Amazon just jacked up the price so it looks like 71% off. In reality DDR3 1600MHz always stays around $10/GB. Not sure why the $270 is crossed out. Would be a deal if there was like 16GB

That's not actually a sale. Amazon first listed it as $269.99 when it first was that price, but the normal price is now ~$70 but Amazon marks it as a sale when it really isn't.

I was like-

I'm grabbing 32GB right now! 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

This is a really old product, it's been around since DDR3 was around.

 

So it released like 5 years ago at 270 dollars. DDR3 prices have since come down

. Just picked up the 1866 cas 9 g skill snipers this morning needed more low profile sinks or I would of got those for sure.

Ah. What cooler do you want, or what cooler do you have? My Noctua NH-U12P SE2 is $57 on some sites, and that's pretty damn impressive since the two fans alone cost $20 each. :o

I got mine for $49 a long time ago. :P Nice to go from 86C under full load to 60C on full load and idle at 25-30C while I was idling at 45-50C before. Don't know why people say my Xeon doesn't need more than a stock cooler. It was throttling at full load before. :/
