Need help with building a computer

Go to solution Solved by Interfectorem,

Depends what you want out of your gaming experience, I assume this is for gaming? I'd prefer a 750ti in your situation. Not a fan of AMD's heat output and power consumption

The R9 270 isn't a 290X :P Mine gets to 66C max while playing BF4, and only 1 6-Pin isn't much power consumption.

Hello. I am planning to build a computer and I am in need of assistance. This is the current build I plan on getting http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KT27ZL. Would an R9 270(non x) be better? An ASUS R9270 ($149.99) is $20 more than the 750ti ($129.99) on Amazon. Is the better performance worth the $20?

I would rather go with the R9 270, as it performs much better and it's a very nice card overall for gaming. I own one and I recommend it. :D

WHAT WILL YOU USE IT FOR? You know like just surfing the web because then you can probably skip that GPU, but no seriously we need to know what you're gonna be doing to help you out...

if we were talking in the hundreds of watts, I would say the power draw matters. but in this case the 270 is the far better deal.
