Seagate Barracuda

I found these on pcpartpicker and they seem to be the same thing except one is considerably cheaper.. does anyone know the difference between them besides the price?

STBD3000100, and ST3000DM001, between these two, there appears to be no difference in the disk itself, but rather the package. DM001 comes with bare drive, BD3 comes as a kit. These were designed for desktop computers.

Nothing. It's the same drive, one is the retail pkg. Don't pay for pkging unless there's something in the pkg worth getting. Cable and screws? Don't know, I've never bought a retail drive.
