Limited broadband help

First question, how much broadband will one hour of gaming take.  I know this varies between games but say an fps with voice communication.

 

Second question: Does it take broadband to download things between other computers on the network?  So if I connected 2 computers to one Wi-Fi network (so the broadband being used never leaves the home) does it take some of the limited internet to transfer the data?
