Alphacool rad short screws?

Spev
Go to solution Solved by Spev,

Alright so I'm mourning a rad to my case now. I remember this thread so I didn't order any screws. None of the screws in my Phanteks box fit into the rad. I need short ones to mount to the case. None of these work....

:(

Edit: Welp turns out I found some screws. Oddly enough the Phanteks ones didn't work. But I found some motherboard screws from an old computer that literally fit perfectly, it'll do. :)

Just bought two Alphacool radiators, here are the two sets of screws that come with it:

I would like to find some SHORT screws for mounting it to my case(without fan in between), but it only comes with 30mm and 35mm that are meant to be mounted with fans. I don't want to strip the threads as they were expensive, what would be the best way to figure out the appropriate screws? None of the screws I have on hand seem to fit, some seems close but I'm just eye balling it as I mentioned I don't want to strip anything.

Find some screws from ebay?

Measure the diameter of the screws you have and type it in.

Compatible with Windows 95

I have some that are reallllly close. My main goal is to just make sure I don't strip them. I have some from my Enthoo Luxe case that seem really close but seem a little bigger. Maybe I should just contact Alphacool. I'm not sure me measuring would be the best way as I would think there are screws for very specific sizes down the the millimeter. I'll give it a shot.

the alphacool radiators use a M3 thread.

a M3 x 6mm is plenty plus a washer for case mount to radiator. usually a radio

control hobby store has access to them.

Just use some of the 3mm screws in the phanteks tool box that comes with the case. Thats what I did.

Nice, thanks for the info! That helps I'll check it out :) From my pic below looks like I can just use the motherboard/odd/ssd screws? They are "screw M3 x 5mm".

Ah you have the same radiator? This is what I have, no 3mm screws?
