Checking the PSU?

derrickd241

When there is noise under full load or something. Try some kind of program that would use the PC at full load so it will use the most power as possible.

Oh wait, your the guy who's always asking if his GPU is making noise. Well you know what, the PSU you have is a CX one, it's bound to have to have Coil Whine.

How Can you check a PSU to see if its causing coil whine on the GPU?

At idle open up the side of your case and measure the noise, then run a game or benchmark program to compare the noise. If you can, force your fans to run at a single speed so you don't mistake a noisy fan as coil whine.
