PSU wattage enough?

jakjakattack

Hello all,

My parts list is an 8320, powercolor pcs+ 290, and a 1tb hdd. Here is the full build if you need it. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Jakjakattack/saved/d76KHx.

I have typed my parts into the wattage calculator that is listed in the sticky, and my recommended wattage was 475. This was also with the cpu overclocked to 4.2 at 1.35 ghz. Since there was no option of overclocking for the graphics card I was wondering if that would add a lot?

In short would this work? Corsair CX600M If not could you recommend one (below 50$) that would?

Regards,

Jackson

600w is fine. Loads of room for GPU overclocking and future upgrades.

Yea, but for 3$ less he can get a modular 750w psu from Evga.

750w is a good wattage range if you want to multi gpu in the future. Unless you are still mining for coins with a GPU for some strange reason, anything beyond 2 cards is bad performance return on your investment. 750w is more than enough for SLI/Crossfire if you so choose to go that route. If you only wish to do single GPU, you don't need the power of the sun to power your system like manufacturers exaggerate.
