Dbrand really is awesome, they sent me a picture. (Update: I installed the skin)

So I ordered a Mahogany vinyl skin for my HTC One M8 off Dbrand. Having heard of people putting funny requests in their order details, I thought I would give it a go with the following:

I think it might be worth adding that shipping took quite some time, 20 days actually. However this is kind of expected as I live in rural Australia and Dbrand is in Toronto. Anyways, the skin turned up today:

I know it isn't much, but it humored me. Thought I would share. Now I gotta wait until the weekend to put it on, due to a certain lack of hairdryer.

The video on the Dbrand website made installing this a breeze, it is excellent. I got it a little bit misaligned, but not enough to bother me. I will however recommend if you are getting a HTC One M8 skin to get the HTC cutout in the back. Without the cutout to line the skin up it was quite difficult to get it straight initially. The quality is topnotch, with an actual wood grain texture stamped into the vinyl, Lovely.

 

Will be getting one of these on all my phones from now on.

Been over 2 weeks and no skin for me here in the UK.  :mellow: That said. Emailed em and they said they'll send a new one. And the email didn't seem like an automated response (could have been though). So at the very least - they get service points.

Why do you need a hair dryer? The skin just sticks on. I've had a dbrands skin on my iPhone for months.

Because it said I need a hair dryer? It's for getting the vinyl to bend and stick around the edges.

I guess it varies phone to phone. The iPhone 5S was just stick. But there aren't any curved edges on the 5S. Like I said, I put it on months ago and haven't had any peeling of it at all. The Gold 5S with two matte black front/back skins is sexy as hell.

Nice, yea I'm hoping mine will last a while. Im pretty hard on phones, but hate phone cases. Bad combo.

They're based out of Toronto? That's pretty cool, considering I only live like 40 minutes from Toronto.

Mine for my M7 never came with that. :( Quite interesting that they did that.

Then again, mine also took two months to arrive. :huh:
