What the use of "HDD Space Disk Requirement" on Games?

I saw on Steam,TES V Skyrim only need 6GB HDD Space Requirement.

But real game size is 12GB.

So what the real use of "HDD Space Requirement" ?

Is it will increase FPS?

Or maybe reduce Lag/Loading time?

Or the Load time?

Please help :)

Just so you have enough storage space to actually INSTALL the game. It will make no effect on load times, FPS, or anything else. Just weather you can actually install the game or not.

EDIT

Some games will let you install "a minimal amount" where it will stream or download some data as it needs it instead of accessing it off the HDD. In this case load times will be affected, but it is a FEW (like I don't know of any game made in the past 5 years that does this) amount of games.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

It's just the amount needed to install the game. Whether FPS might be effected is correlated with the way the particular game loads textures - but the impact is minimal going from a HDD (unless a really old one) to a SSD for most titles.

Unless you want instant loading screens. then pay to play.

The 6GB is probably outdated information when the game was new, barebone without updates, patches that sort of stuff.

I thought the real game size is 6GB. Says so on the system requirements. If you have DLC and stuff that adds to the size.

How about Skyrim?

The HDD Space Requirement only 6GB.

While the game size is 12GB?

Solution?
