Next year apple is going to stop making 5cs according to Cnet.

why is this important enough to post? Currently the 5C is the oldest iPhone Apple sells. They are going to stop selling it when the iPhone 6S launches so of course they are going to stop building them before then so they don't have leftovers

You can if you know where to look. There still are some unsold ones. In fact there was one on ebay recently, new in box (I did almost buy it)

That is not the same as being manufactured and sold at retail... I can buy brand new boxed gameboys

Apple is smart with making this move unlike other manufacturers who instead of dropping the model will come up with another two to try get customers to spend their money but fail anyway and hardly learn anything :)

Apple generally waits 3 years before they stop selling a model unless there's a complete replacement.

They're still for sale in the shops here, for like $15 at the phone retailers

 

 

and maybe next time apple makes a budget phone, they'll consider not making it $500.
