Phantom 530 or Define R5

So I was dead set on getting the Phantom 530, but with the release of the Define R5 I am kinda torn and can't decide!

 

So this is how it is:

 

Phantom 530 Pros:

• I REALLY like the looks of this case!
• It has very good air cooling capabilities
• It has a ton of cable management
• has a fan controller
• nice large case insuring that I won't have fitting issues
• top section can hold a rad

Define R5 Pros:

• quiet
• Better water cooling support
• More customization
• Slightly Cheaper

I have watched videos done by a lot of tech youtubers on both, and I am still torn about it!

It has everything most people would ever need in a case, and not to mention it's super good looking

Well not really, it falls a behind the Phantom 530 in cable management and air cooling ability (my PC is 100% air cooled), and I prefer the sharp edges of the phantom series of cases

I would get the Define R5 for silence and the beauty of the way the case itself looks. I personally despise the Phantom cases.

why do you hate phantom cases?

get the define. its actually got a flat top so you can rest stuff on it. massive pro for me on any pc

Well for one thing, the Phantom has more plastic than the r5.

but it isn't cheap plastic and the R series has a notable amount of plastic as well

For the same reason I hate Fiats? I don't know... they are ugly to me. Why don't I like eggs? I don't have an answer, I just don't.

okay, I wasn't sure if you used them and something was terribly wrong with it, I think I might go with the phantom, because getting the R5 will be a waste without liquid coolers...

Choose the Phantom 530. At the end of the day, having the case the you like the looks of is a good decision. Not to mention the other pros you stated. I think your dilemma in making a decision between the two is only because many people would want a Define R5, and it's human nature to go with what other people are going for since you would want to get the oohs and aahs when people see you have the thing they also want to have. 

 

From what I can feel, however, it seems like you are set with the Phantom but just want other people to at least make you feel that having the Phantom is a good decision.
