will a 3770k on a Asus Z77 Sabertooth mobo bottle neck 2 gtx 980's?

Hey everyone im currently running a 3770k @4.8ghz and a GTX 780 @ 1400mhz in a full water loop. my question is weather my cpu would bottle neck 2 GTX 980's in SLI?

3770K is a monster, overclocked it is extremely powerful, no it wont, wait at least until skylake before upgrading.

it was more of a question of if the 3770k had enough pcix lanes to support two gtx 980's yes they will be running in x8 for the two slots of the motherboard but will that matter either?

No, PCi 3.0 8X is enough

And besides, ivybridge has the latest PCi revision so there is nothing to worry about for dual-GPU setups ;)

Heck, sandybridge could handle it ok as well
