I'm not a smart man. MSI Interceptor DS200 Review, kind of.

SMR

Hey guys,

I just bough an MSI Interceptor DS200 gaming mouse for 40$ off amazon, but i didn't check any reviews and i can't seem to find some on the interwebs

Best case scenario : It works. Better than my broken sidewinder.

Worst case scenario : It's worst than any generic HP/Microsoft/IBM red laser thing, which i doubt.

Anyway, someone have this thing ?

If you can return it at no cost I recommend you do that and get a G502 or M45 instead

Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

No, i'll stick with it. It's just a mouse, i won't be any better or worst at gaming because of a mouse.

Wow, Such 9D. Much dpi. So brown. Do want.

But seriously i found some good reviews. As i said, it's a mouse, if it works then why would i change.  :P

Could be worse. The underside looks a little grabby though. That could become a problem on uneven surfaces.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

I think my mousepad will handle that  :P

Good.

I use a teflon coated oven liner as a mousepad. Works surprisingly well.

Might consider this when in need of a new mouse mat lol

You could but mine is black which means optical mice don't track well. My laser mouse is fine though.

Oh so i received the product.

Pros:

Weight System,

Replacements under pads,

Braided USB wire (I love this),

Every single button can be mapped to anything,

DPI switches,

macro button,

rapid fire button,

nice colors,

Perfect fit for my hand,

Profile switching button(under the mouse).

Cons:

The weights are not heavy enough to make a difference,

Software is in version 1.0 so when i switch colors the scroll wheel doesn't always follow the rest,

to high DPI option, serioulsy i can set DPI to 16000...,

quality of plastic MIGHT be an issue over long time.

For 43$ it's an overall very good product, I'll see how it does over time, I tried to play CS:GO yesterday with it but i'm not used to it so I got crappy scores but anyway the mouse seemed to run great.

:)

Hey guys,

I have registered just to say something about this mouse in this topic.

The mouse review above is pretty accurate. Mouse sits well in hand, and it is precise.

The only thing is...mouse buttons is not recognized by OS as separate device. Instead, these buttons is mapped to keyboard actions. Means that the buttons are not standalone, and required to be mapped to some sort of shortcut, combination of keys or macro. Means that if you need to assign certain button in game, it will say something like "This button is already mapped to XXXX".

This is my first gaming mouse, and i like it, but the fact that I need to map keys before I launch the game suck.
