My video editing and Media PC: Looking for tips & Opinion

helnet

I have read several messages and I find this forum very interesting .

I plan to assemble a pc for video editing and media, after effects, photoshop, 3D model. So many rendering. I want the speed with windows opening and during the editing. I do not games. I plan to overclock but not sure if I need it.

I want to use 3 monitors that I have. A 32-inch and two 20 inch.

I thought about using 2 ssd drive, one for Windows and software and one for editing from scratch. Other hard drives will be for storage and buffer.

My budget is around 2200$-2500$.

  • What do you think about this configuration?
  • Any suggestions or recommandations?

Do you really need two drives, are you gonna use RAID?

Yes this one is a very good suggestion but to meet my budget I would take only one video card.

Do you think that 16G memory it's enough for my need?

16 should be enough, I edit with 24 while using Chrome and we all know how much that can use... Also get it is 8GB DIMMs for upgrades in the future.

is it the same to use 4 X 4G or 2 X 8G?

4*4GB would be a bit faster, but 2*8gb would make it cheaper for you to upgrade for 32 GB in the future.
