Building games (Caesar 2 to Cities XL)

I've been a long time fan of simulation games, especially building ones. Lately i've been throwing hundreds of hours into things like Prison Architect, Space Engineers, Banished, Towns, etc.

Problem is, ALPHA builds and indy games like Banished (grumbles something about an unfinished Towns game)

which btw if your familiar with it, there is a new dev team working on it
have a somewhat limited amount of content. I've thought of revisiting games like Towns and Caesar 2 but hoping someone from the LTT forums could toss a few more suggestions to the list, as many good indy games can easily slip past a potentially interested audience.

For anyone looking for more themselves, here's a list of some good and lesser known ones that I know of

Caesar 2 (2D city builder)

Anno 2070 (new-ish, tropico style builder)

Prison Architect

Towns (interesting 2D keep-your-villagers-alive-and-loot-dungeons builder)

Banished (resource management galore)

Space Engineers (minecraft in space)

Tropico

Cities XL

Simcity

Anno 2070 is in my opinion much more than a city builder. You can't go to war in simcity, the trading is much detailed and you actually have to start with basic resources and build up that. It is probably one of my favorite games but it is really only enjoyable if you can play it long sessions.

Spoiler

Corsair 400C- Intel i7 6700- Gigabyte Gaming 6- GTX 1080 Founders Ed. - Intel 530 120GB + 2xWD 1TB + Adata 610 256GB- 16GB 2400MHz G.Skill- Evga G2 650 PSU- Corsair H110- ASUS PB278Q- Dell u2412m- Logitech G710+ - Logitech g700 - Sennheiser PC350 SE/598se

Is it just me or is Grammar slowly becoming extinct on LTT?

Yea, my description doesn't do it much justice, and neither does the description of Caesar 2. If your interested in any of those games take the 5 word descriptions with a grain of salt!

Played it, and loved it somewhat. The space exploration got a bit dry after a while but it was fun
