Get the STRIX from ASUS or G1 Edition from Gigabyte.

Gigabyte, STRIX are the only ones that come to my head

Just to clarify, you mean Gigabyte and the ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Strix DirectCU II?

Yep.

Alright!

Just thought I'd mention that one of EVGA's variants of the their GTX 970 kinda resembles the shape of a coffin.

Not entirely sure what they were thinkin'. Did someone at EVGA pass away? :D:P JK

I was considering between the two awhile ago, I went with the G1 Gaming in the end.

Why G1 Gaming?

- Cherry Picked GPUs

- Lots of reviews on the interwebs managed to get it to overclock near 1600mhz on stock BIOS. I managed to get 1531 or something like that.

- 3 fans! More is better, no?

- I think it looks a lot better, the backplate is drop dead gorgeous

- Its supposed to have dual BIOS, I have no idea how to switch it yet :/

Why STRIX?

- The card is a lot shorter. The Gigabyte card is LONG, 12+ inches ;)

- 0db fan mode

- Asus customer service is pretty good

- The included GPU Tweak utility is MUCH better than Gigabyte's. Gigabyte's utility is pretty bad, I had to switch over to Afterburner, couldn't stand it.

Ah gotcha! LOL :D

Now reading your last comment back, it makes sense now. Must've misread it. I think it was the repeated word "the" that threw me off. :D

Most brands that made rubbish Nvidia cards are gone now. It's mostly the good ones these days.

Pick one. You'll be happy with any of them.
