Motherboard suitable for a i7 5960X

Please read carefully before commenting that it is stupid to go with that processor!

I got sent the i7 5960X, I did not purchase it, I would never buy such an expensive piece of hardware that I will have practially no use of. I cannot tell you why or how you can get one too, so don't bother asking.

The most I do with my PC is play games and some Adobe Illustrator editing, cause I design magazines. Nevertheless, since this processor is basically free, if we disregard the VAT fee, I have decided to keep it and upgrade my existent i7 3820, something that I have been considering anyway.

To the topic:

I've been away from the computer industry for a couple of months, particulalry the X99 motherboard market segment, therefore I really don't know which motehrboard will be suitable for a 5960X. I did some preliminary research and my intutition hints me to go with an Asus one, since that's all I've been using for years now and I have had no trouble with them.

The thing is that it would be perfect if I can find a nice Micro-ATX motherboard, since I really like my 350D and I don't feel prepared to swap it with something else. The only decent looking Micro-ATX board that I was able to find was the EVGA X99 -131-HE-E995-KR. The thing is that EVGA is known for their very unreliable motherboards so I really don't know. I also have no idea if this motherboard will be able to sustain a decent 4.5+ GHz overclock. Are there any X99 Micro-ATX that are supposed to be released recently?

PS: I don't really have a budget so the more feature-extensive the motherboard, the better.

There's nothing wrong with EVGA boards, after their X58 all the way up to z77 they were garbage but everything now is perfect except the fan control which can be easily improved through a bios update.

I only see 3 options in mATX form factor, none of which strike me as super amazing, only adequate:

Yeah, I found those three too and I am not super amazed... Especially since the EVGA one does not have front USB 3... USB 3.0 has been out for years and we still have to pray to have it on motherboards...

The asrock should be fine, they have upped their game up a lot in the past years.

tbh you might want to switch to a full atx board. not saying matx is bad but there are more pci express lane on full atx boards and the number of lanes the 5960x supports is insane.
