Dragon age Inquisition blue screen

HerstalP90

Hello everyone,

I am playing the new DA on the highest settings and running it at mostly 60-100 fps most of the time, it never really dips below 60.

But since i've had the game after a couple of hours of playing it my pc just randomly blue screens. Mostly Bccode 119 and the error itself says The video scheduler has encountered an unexpected fatal error.

When i look at bluescreenview the top two are allways dxgmms1.sys and watchdog.sys.

I have all the latest drivers installed on my pc so there is nothing wrong there. If any of you have the same problem or a fix i would like to know.

GPU's : two MSI GTX970 Gaming cards

Motherboard: Asus rampage V extreme

CPU i7 5820k

Do a clean install of the drivers. Are your GPU's overclocked?

Do you have DA installed in SSD or HDD?

My game crashes all the time too on an MSI GTX970. I dont bluescreen though, but it is a DirectX error also.

Maybe try disabling SLI or downclocking your card. Downclocking my hard helps with the crash for whatever reason eventhough it runs other game just fine. Your Bluescreen might be an extra effect from SLI.

I sometimes get the DirectX error, using a Gigabyte GTX 970, never bluescreened.

Might be more stable without SLI, AFAIK scaling isn't that great anyway so you shouldn't be missing out on much.

I disabled SLI and now everything is working fine, no graphical glitches, no grass and plants that try to give me an epileptic seizure and no blue screens... i have no clue why but i'm happy if this continues.
