This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?

The website doesn't look very trustworthy, and honestly if that does reflect the performance that's almost certainly going to be a 390x or a 390 at the very least.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Grain of salt status: Activated.

Since the 980 is the small-chip Maxwell GPU, I don't see this as unreasonable at all. If the theoretical 390X is as much more powerful than the 380X as the 290X to the 280X (damn, I really need to revise the grammar of that phrase), that would mean that the 390X should theoretically be competitive with the Big chip Maxwell (GM200/GM210/whatever they name it).

Also: Where do we see that this may be referring to the 380X? If this is the 390X, I'd be somewhat disappointed (of course, this is long enough before launch that there are still plenty of optimizations that would probably still need to be made).

Lmao at this one guy on their forums:

Power consumption is less than 300W, bad review. (功耗不足300w,差评)

Ehh, it looks and sounds like it's actually a leaked review sample of the 390X, not the 380X. "Captain Jack" is just a pet name they gave the flagship (captain..) card.

Very cool, but it could very well be something else. The worst part is that there's no source. I can imagine this is stolen data anyway.

I bet that benchmark has it and only it overclocked (on a water loop i might add) and i bet it has a 1000W TDP with an operating temperature of 95C even with that water cooler.

This is the performance of the Carrizo APUs, because logic.

Quite possible, guys please remember 380x is supposed to be on 20nm with a new architecture so it's performance is gonna be a jump up from 290x ...  And previous rumors did indicate  that 380x was aimed at 980 with 390x aimed at 980ti/Titan2/1080... and Think about it 980 is barely above 780ti/titanblack  why wouldn't AMD jump up if they could only reason Nvidia didn't is cause they wanna milk the Maxwell hype train

nope, I just don't spend most of my time browsing multiple websites for leaks and info.  If its legit it'll come out on its own.

I actually find this to be reasonable considering the ridiculous memory bus and memory bandwidth this thing will have...

the chip itself probably isnt that much better from the 290X though. at least itll be 20nm.

i think its worth the wait to see what happens with the 390X
