GTX 970 overclocked temps

Texhnlyze

Overclocked my GPU again from +150 mhz  to +171 mhz. When my GPU is on 100% load, I get temps around 65-68c and idle temps around 32-35c.

Are these temps ok?

Yep. By the way, if anyone has a guide on overclocking an MSI GTX 970, greatly appreciated. I know about CPUoverclocking, but not GPU

Max out power limit, don't touch voltage, use +134 and +400 as a starting point (1500/7800) then just the standard up and test

I have a Gigabyte GTX 970 - the process is exactly the same.

I just go to MSI Afterburner, up the power limit to 112%, increase core clock by 150mhz because pretty much all 970s can, and increase the memory frequency by 500.

I did try like 200 on the core, but it artifacted then I think, so just turned down a bit. No idea what the actual limit is, but the effect is pretty much the same.

Yeah, I'm not gonna touch voltages on the GPU. CPU, yeah, but not the GPU. I want it to last a few years maybe

I tried to OC my Asus GTX 970.  All I did was add 150 core and 500 memory.  I ran Firestrike and temps never went over 69 degrees.  I have a 140mm side panel fan gently blowing on my GPU.  Not sure how that compares to others.
