1 250gb SSD or 2 120GB ssd's

i'm tihking of getting a SSD but i can't get my mind wrapped around the decision i'm going to make

is 1 SSD 250gb better than 2x 120gb SSD?

i'll be using 1 SSD for my windows and some applications like skype etc

and the other SSD for my games

i already have a 1TB WD caviarblack HDD

Go for the single drive.

If you want to be able to have games and Windows separate, you can split the drive into two partitions.

Hard decision, assuming they cost about the same I would probably be leaning towards a single SSD since I find that more convenient. Having your games on another SSD could improve load times further though, but not enough to make that worth it IMO.

Still blazing fast, doesn't matter.

And OP, I recommend a single drive.

raid 0 with ssd's is kind of a waste imo

You will have more performance but less storage.

which is more ideal for regular hdd's than ssds since ssd's are more expensive and rather more fragile even though a HDD uses a pin

SSDs are not fragile. They are much stronger than HDD. No vibrations and there silent. They are much more expensive though.
