motherboard problems

I recently purchased an msi gaming 7motherboard, when I plugged it in, the led on the onboard power button turned on, but the system wouldn't post. After I turned it off with the onboard power button and tried to turn it on again, but it wouldn't turn on. Help?!

Make sure your RAM is well seated, your graphics card is seated, all power connectors are in properly etc.
