Smallest case that will fit a full sized ATX motherboard?

EeveeTechTips

I just got my Phantex Enthoo Luxe in mail. While it is a gorgeous case and its quality is outstanding, it is simply way too big and heavy for me. My room gets dusty quite easily so I need to clean my computer at least once a week which means I need to move it up and down the stairs once a week and I dont see that happening with Luxe. I currently have Antec Lanboy Yellow and I thought this one was pretty big and heavy for me. Luxe trumps this case.

So what I am trying to say is what are some of the smallest cases that supports a full sized ATX mobo that still has a window on the side.

Even H440 doesnt seem that small When i looked at the dimension and compared it to Luxe.

Carbide Air 540?  Because of it's dual chamber, the height only needs to accommodate the motherboard, but it's twice as wide as a result.  I guess it depends on your definition of "smallest".

Or buy a case with easily removed dust filters like the new Define R5 - it's a good bit smaller than the Luxe and you may not need to lug it around quite so much to keep it clean!

corsair 450D is relatively small.

But if I were you I would just get an matx case because you can still sli/crossfire graphics cards if you want to but can have much smaller cases

Maybe a bit too expensive to swap the mobo out too though. And if you have non-blower style GPU coolers in SLI in mATX, you're asking for a bad time!

Yeah My budget doesnt really allow me to swap my mobo. I have i7-2600k which uses LGA 1155 chipset and its hard to find a good cheap mATX mobo(and if I were to buy a good mobo for that might as well get LGA 2011 for future upgrade).

and 450D seems as big(if not slightly bigger) than H440. and thats bigger than what I currently have.

I've got the raven 5, the only difference between the raven and the fortress is that it doesn't have aluminium, but does have some plastic add ons to give it a more edgy, sort of gamery but very understated look IMO.

Im not a huge fan of the design of the case, I mostly love simple clean looks.

Amazing case, always wanted to own one but went to mATX build.

Great airflow even for SLI, cable management space, water-cooling space, beautiful looks, can be modded and excellent build quality.

Go for it, you can have the black or white one and start your project :)

Yeah I think its about as small as I can get without downgrading to mATX. And the cube shape is strangely appealing..

Right now its a toss up between Air 540 for $90($20 rebate) or NZXT S340 for $65.

Lian Li have some that do funky things to minimize their size. Not sure of model numbers but they shouldn't be too hard to find.
