Portable Mechanical Keyboard Suggestions

L1M3Y

Hey everyone, I am currently rocking a Surface Pro 3 for my portable means of computing. After using the Type Cover for awhile, I absolutely hate using it for anything longer than short emails and quick Google searches. I am looking for a compact mechanical keyboard that I will be using for long periods of typing. I am not going to carry it everywhere I go. It is meant for when I go home on the weekends(I am in college), or over to a friends to work on class assignments.

With that said here are some of the things I am looking for:

-Cherry MX Browns(Blues will work but prefer to have a quieter keyboard)

-60% style, with short cuts for the arrow keys instead of dedicated ones.

-Light weight. I would like to get a keyboard that is less than 2 lbs

-Price between $80-$120

The keyboards I have looked at so far, are the KBC Poker II on Massdrop and the Ducky Shine Mini. Any comments or suggestions would be great.

I'd say, judging by what people have given you, there's a winner!

That often comes as a result of high-quality. (Apple, Dell's Precision Line, planes, Audis etc :P)

The only thing that is holding me back form the Ducky Mini, is the fact that I can't find it with Browns.

Somewhat that is true. But they are well made in general.

Now that you mention it, I think they only made the Ducky Mini with Blue's and Red's. Weird decision on their part. Though, here are some 60% keyboards that you can look into.

Edit; I feel special for having this little thing. First generation Ducky Mini with MX Brown and 'purple' LED's.

You can't argue that the Macbook Pro is one of the best built laptops on the market
