What is more likely to die on me first?

My Current build died on my about 3 days ago, my system refuses to post but all the fans and gpu's run just fine.

I think i found a bent socket pin in the motherboard (its the msi z97 pc mate btw):

but people say it's the cpu, what do you think is true?

p.s and i dont know what is the white thing in the left of the picture, does that come with the mobo?

Looks like the right top one to me

That one to the left of it looks fried. It's possible that one doesn't work anymore. Maybe possible to try another motherboard?

Was it like that when you put the CPU in?

If the motherboard is dead anyways, you could try removing the black stuff from the pin. The one all the way to the right looks a little bend, but should be fine.

Asus offers some kind of repair. MSI probably does that too.

A Socket Repair in the USA is 60 Dollars, that means on other parts of the world it will cost 2x as much :D

You can try taking it to a shop to diagnose it, they might test it with a different mobo and see if it works.

just because they accepted the request, doesn't mean they wont try and chalk this up to user error and do nothing about it.
