Yeah but then it's not ultra wide. Being that I actually have ultra wide in my life now 2560x1080 looks stupid. I could never seriously game at anything less than 21:9 now.

you can force  2560x1080 on a 1440p monitor , since mine can do 1:1 pixel

I don't see what games would benefit. FPS games would look stoopid if not curved :/

I was looking on the interwebs for monitors, but the only affordable 21:9 monitors are 2560x1080, and I feel that I could just use my current 1080p instead. I want 1440p for games like GTA and Racing games, and some CS:GO (Not looking for 1ms response time and 144hz or something)

Clearly spoken like someone who has not used an ultra wide. Slapping black bars on your screen sounds like a silly idea.

True , i have not tried Teh Experienceh . It might be cool , but 2560x1080p is a bit low ... I might stick one above my monitor to watch those movies at the really wide ratio hmmm...

I had a 29" ultra wide, too big for me so I took it back for a 25". Annnnnnd I am happy to say the pixel density of on my 25" is higher than that of a 2560x1440p 27" so it's really not low at all. 111 ppi I think? or 110?
