I was thinking of getting a windforce gtx 980/970 so I go to gigabytes website and stumble across THIS...

So then I watched LinusTechTips wan show from last week (or 2 weeks ago) and i found out that this thing looks horrible. What do you people think?

Just look at the 5.25" Drive bay and the wires going in it like it looks horrendous.

It would be cool if it was moddable and didn't cost as much as it does.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Looks pretty noice, but I wouldn't buy that, I'd rater get a full custom loop.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Basically yes, it looks like something out of an older Sci-Fi movie. I can see why you'd want that.

It's beautiful in my mind, but it doesn't compare to my 465s

Could be worse. You could have Quad SLI with four different brand nonreference cards.

Imagine: a DCUII, an EVGA reference card, an MSI Lightning and for good measure one (not three) of these with the box on top. With long flexible SLI bridges. And the rainbow-colored PSU leads. Now that'd look out of place.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Looking at the fact at how some people are calling this huge ugly piece of metal beautiful I think they would say your description is more beautiful.

Yeah, it's pretty bad and I'd be surprised if you need even two hands to count how many Gigabyte will actually sell.

 

That said, I get it: Gigabyte wanted to offer a unique, premium product that someone might consider who was otherwise going to buy three video cards. It needs extra features, like a really powerful integrated water cooling system, to justify its existence. Due to that fact and the limitations they faced, I can see why they came up with the design they did.

 

Provided they didn't cheap out and use faulty, leaky components, I can at least applaud that they are trying to do something unique and interesting.

Why triple SLI, 980s can do quad.

Anybody that has the money for 3 980's should have the money to do a custom loop instead, not only will it look better, it'll be quieter and more overclocking headroom.

its not that ugly they could have done it better but this is kind pf a stupid thing that is unrealistic but cool at the same time i applaud for trying
