Well if you are planning on doing large video editing you will want more RAM if you are just Gaming on it 16GB or even 8GB is fine.

If you want a real world comparison on speed check this out http://www.corsair.com/en/blog/2014/march/haswellrealworld

You don't need any fans with this build. All that I changed was I added Windows 8.1 x64 and dropped a GTX 970.

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  ($369.98 @ NCIX US)

You can order this entire machine from Newegg for probably $20-30 more than the total price (more than half is coming from Newegg to begin with).

I personally prefer paying the little bit extra to have everything come in one box and in one order.

Here's the same build (w/ different ram) directly from Newegg.

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  ($389.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty X99X Killer ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($284.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($209.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card  ($349.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case  ($154.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer  ($16.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)  ($99.99 @ Newegg)

Total: $2093.03 w/ Shipping
Total: $2038.03 w/ Shipping + Rebates

If you don't need 512 GB of SSD storage you can drop down to the 256 GB and save another $98

Thanks Opcode! But I don't think I would need ddr4 I think ddr3 would be good enough, so would i be able to do that and save extra money to add in the duel gtx 970 instead of the ddr4?
and if so could you change the parts so that its the best i7+motherboard for a decent set of ddr3 please, thanks! I'm not too sure but i think this would be better, if not correct me please! xD

The x99 platform runs DDR4. In order to run DDR3 you would have to jump down to the Z97 platform. How often do you do video editing?

The 970 STRIX might not be the best option out of the 970's, it doesn't seem to have the overclocking headroom of other 970s and seems to benchmark lower as well.

Yeah that's fine, I heard good things about the z97 it isnt bad right? and not video editing, but photoshop editing, high res photos with a large number of layers, makes my current pc lag but it's a pos lol i'd imagine a ddr3 would be good enough for that right?

There's the Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming. JayzTwoCents did a review of it.

Linus reviewed the Zotac 970's, both doing a bit better than the Strix.

I've also heard good things about the MSI GTX 970. Can't find a video on it right now though.

If you're using Photoshop CC I would take this route instead.

CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate Liquid CPU Cooler  ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-Gaming 7  ($153.99 @ Newegg w/ Promo Code AFEX1124)
Memory: G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 2400 MHz  ($134.99 @ Newegg w/ Promo Code EMCWWHW46)
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($111.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA 04G-2974-KR GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked  ($349.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA 04G-2974-KR GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked  ($349.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT H440 STEEL Mid Tower Case  ($119.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)  ($99.99 @ Newegg)

Total: $2,031 w/ Shipping (-$45 MIR = $1986 w/ Shipping)

The liquid loop is literally just overkill if you don't plan on overclocking.

Keep your eye on this build, constantly tweaking it.

Alright I think I've spent enough time toying with this build. One thing to note is the case doesn't support an internal optical drive. So you will need to create a bootable USB drive to install Windows.

I can just get a bigger case right? I really like this build a lot more! Thanks!

Hey there @Nytronic, looks like you posted your thread in the wrong subforum.

Just letting you know I've reported that so if you find your topic missing, you'll know it's been moved.

I'm sorry about that, I thought this was an okay forum, I saw other people post here who needed help with their builds so I assumed this was a good spot, sorry I'm new to the forums.

You can switch out the case certainly (as long as it supports the massive 360 mm radiator). The reason this case doesn't have an optical drive is because it's designed to be a silent case. So instead of having a front panel that opens they added another fan to help promote air flow. If you have another computer then it's really not a big issue. Windows installs much faster from a USB anyways (solid state memory). I wouldn't see it as a drawback unless you tend to use optical media very often. You could always get an external USB DVD enclosure if need be for around what it would cost for an internal one. I myself never use DVD's only when installing Windows or Linux so the need for one in my case is very slim.
