Bad players with good PCs

Why do people spend so much money on a gaming computer that when they are not good at the game that they play? An example would be someone with a $2000 PC that is Silver 2 in CSGO

Because whether you're good or not should not be allowed to be a factor when deciding the desired graphic fidelity. 

 

Edit: If I want to play Battlefield 4 on ultra at 144Hz it should not matter how good I am. It would be worth it to me

This is a really silly question. Ignorant even. You don't have to be good at something to enjoy it. And you don't have to play one game either. And if that someone spent $2000 it clearly wasn't meant for cs go alone. Bf4 is very demanding. That would be like buying a lambo to drive it around the neighborhood.

Does it matter? Maybe they play more demanding games or maybe they are better on other games, maybe they don't want another disadvantage.

 

This thread is pretty pointless and it's basically a display of ignorance.

Holy shit guys slightly less hostility towards OP please. He just asked a question, not everything is basic knowledge/obvious to everyone. If it were the world would be a much better place.

I'm not particularly good at CS:GO, but i like playing all my games with quality all the way up. My PC is about $1900ish. 

 

 

imho it looks to me like you're jealous of people with better computers, who are worse at a game than you are tbh.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

well i´m not good at any game, but i really like the hardware and having something that is pretty and powerful.

Well it would be perfectly fine if a person with a rendering PC wanted to sit down and play some games at the end if the day. I am talking about a person with a PC specifically designed to give an advantage in competitive video games
