that is a hard question to answer , without knowing your intire budget, what you will be doing with the pc, and what parts do you currently own.

CPU: i7 4790k OC'd @ 4.6 ghz COOLER: Corsair H105 (SP 120mm Quiet Edition Fans) MOBO: ASRock Z97 Extreme 6 RAM: Kingston Hyper Fury 16GB (2x8) 1866mhz

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW 4GB PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750w 80+ Gold Fully Modular CASE: Fractal Arc Midi R2

OPTICAL DRIVE: Samsung DVD Burner OS: Win 7 64bit   Please do some research of your own before asking questions. Google and Youtube are your friend.

I would go for the gigabyte 970 g1 gaming as it has better cooling and higher over clocking potential

@GunnerLive

Both of those cards will work fine with that motherboard, I suggest go the gigabyte if it will fit, make sure you take into account its 312mm length, as opposed to the Msi's 269mm length.

Is this your first build? Just wondering if you need such a full on motherboard and cpu.

Also the best way to ask questions like this would be to make a new thread, your question would be best posted in New Builds and Planning.

You can make a new thread on an ipad mate just have a look. I highly suggest if this is your first build that you choose the parts on pcpartpicker.com and create a thread in new builds and planning. That way we can offer better insight into you choice, and help you avoid paying too much for crap you don't need.

You can get the i5-4790 if you don't plan any overlocking, however the i5-4970K is a better buy.
