does it have a low response time and input lag and is it a reliable brand?

It's a cheap Asian brand. Probably best to keep to with well-known monitor brands ;). I'd go for the ASUS PB278Q,

if you can, whilst it's on sale. Tis an extremely popular display and I believe several gamers have bought them. :)

It's a good monitor. The screen itself is made by Samsung. It's just that you lose a bit of quality with the outside (bezel) and the stand, but it's not terrible and still perfectly acceptable quality.

I'd go for the ASUS PB278Q,

No. Just no. I would save the money and get a QNIX over a PB278Q any day. Even if the price difference was half of what it is I'd still go for the QNIX. Either save your money, or get the BenQ BL2710PT, a much better choice then the PB278Q if you're going to spend that much on a 1440p monitor.

should i get this http://overlordcomputer.com/collections/27-monitors/products/tempest-x270oc-glossy it looks really good, but it isnt in stock right now

The Overlord Tempest is actually a really good monitor as well. If you're not able to get your hands on it though then a QNIX or X-Star would be more widely available.

Personal preferences mate. ;)

I was going to suggest the BenQ BL2710PT, but he wanted a monitor with a low response time, so,

the ASUS PB278Q, I believe, has a low response time for a PLS display, hence the suggestion. ;):)

The BL2710PT is 4ms whereas the PB278Q is 5ms, so I don't know what you're trying to get at. It also has better saturated colors, a better matte coating on the display, less ghosting, less input lag... The PB278Q is simply overrated.

Well, look at this TFT Central's review on the BenQ BL2710PT, specifically at the response time section.

Which means that the difference between the two monitors is within margin of error, depending on the specific panel that you receive on whichever one you buy, as well as the testing equipment used. This doesn't mean the Asus is 100% definite to be better at response times.

Alright, alright, alright! Well...to be 100% honest, I would go with the BenQ BL2710PT myself. Just because BenQ seems to produce pretty good displays from what I've seen and read. :D
