Advice on first mechanical Keyboard

I've been looking at mechanical keyboards but I really don't know much about them. black Friday is nigh and I plan to get a keyboard

ive tried the switches and like browns.

Ive looked at the k70 rgb and heard good about ducky shine and that is about the extent of my keyboard knowledge.

so I'm wondering if the k70 is a good choice  or should I go for a ducky or something else, keycaps are not much concern.

so k70 or could you guys help out and recommend something to a newcomer.

Requirments for me would be

-brown switch

-not razer

-blue backlighting

-preferably under 140$ Canadian

-a full sized keyboard(with numpad)

K70 can take care of this. I don't have experience with other brands but the K70 seems to be amazing to me.

Corsair does have nice products, have your leds died or are they still quite functioning?

I know you said you want full size, but I am going to go ahead and tell you...you dont want full size. The best place to start would be with something like the quickfire rapid and then if you really need the numpad get a separate one. Trust me, it will save you a lot of money looking for the right keyboard if you start with a tkl board.

I am buying a ducky shine at the end of this month, it seems to meet all of your requirements and it's ducky, so it's pretty much the best you can get.

I wouldn't go that far but a ducky is also a solid choice, if your into that kinda thing.

Ducky is a very good keyboard, I do not have one myself but I would wish to get one some day. Have fun with it!
