Best TV for my living room?

My parents want a new TV for the living room, but I don't know much about TVs these days so I need some help.

 

 

It has to be 51-55 inches, 1080p-1400p, 60hz-120hz, and really good picture.

 

 

I just want some suggestions as to what you guys think is the best TV.

 

I would like to keep the price around $600-$700, but I can go up to about $850 if I really need to.

 

This will be mounted on the wall and used for shows and movies.

Honestly if it's your parents, just save their/your money and get some Insignia or Vizio.

Thanks for all your replies. Can anyone give me a link (or suggestion) on the BEST TV (picture quality, vieweing angles, color, etc) and possibly more than 1080p, at around 50-55 inch??
