Gaming PC - £800 ($1250)

Tomthehitman

Hey!

1. Budget & Location

I live in the UK and my budget is around £800 (Roughly $1250)

2. Aim

The main aim of the build is to use it for gaming. I'll probably do abit of web browsing and watching films but mainly gaming.

3. Monitors

I only plan on using 1 monitor.

4. Peripherals

I don't need a keyboard, mouse or OS. Just the PC and Monitor. If possible I would like the case to have USB slot accessible from the front and USB 3.0. This isn't essential though.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am upgrading because I am currently gaming on my laptop (Aspire 5553G) and want to finally game on a proper PC.

I have been looking around for the last couple of days at different components but thought I would come here and ask more experienced people their opinions.

Thanks :)

What kind of games you play/plan to play, OP?

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

Pointless posting US prices, since OP is in the UK, he'd pay a hefty shipping price. Change the setting to "United Kingdom" in the top right of PCPartpicker.

Do you think the 780 Ti is worth the price increase over the GTX 970? I ask as everyone has used that one in the build. Cheers :)

yh but im skeptical myself if what i did will be fine. i know the 780 ti is a stronger card but to tell the truth I think you might get more fps out of the intel rigs than what the amds tend to push

just confirmed, not worth it, not enough difference in games to make me choose over the 970 and plus the intel combo will give you more fps overall cuz the cpu is faster per core so yh, get the 970 build instead
